This tea smells pretty good and fruity, it doesn't smell artificial like some fruit teas do. Unfortunately the taste just isn't doing it for me though. I wouldn't say it's terrible, it's just a bit too sour for my taste and it also leaves a weird sensation in my throat after drinking it (sort of an astringent feeling but weirder and I don't know why). If you really like sour flavors you might actually really enjoy it though! The ingredients are all natural and there is no artificial sweeteners which is a plus. Personally, I like the black cherry berry tea from this same brand much better as it is also very fruity and not too sweet, but it is not as sour as and doesn't have that weird astringent aftertaste. The black cherry also has a more complex flavor too in my opinion, whereas this one lacks depth and the sourness overwhelms the flavor.

The dry tea bag smells like dry raspberry Kool-Aid. Adding the water just intensifies the raspberry aroma.

The flavor is similar to Bigelow's Red Raspberry, but with a different balance. The raspberry flavor is much more pronounced, and the hibiscus is less tart. I feel it on the tongue more than taste it, but it seems to be mellowed out by the other ingredients. The overall flavor is a bit muted.

Raspberry Zinger and Black Cherry Berry have the same ingredients list, but for the flavoring (obviously), and an absence of hawthorn in this offering. Yet it doesn't taste much like a simple swap of modular components. I could pull raspberry more out of the aroma and aftertaste than the direct flavor itself. Cherry flavor is *much* stronger in Black Cherry Berry than raspberry is in this tea. I don't understand why. My advice to Celestial Seasonings: dial up that raspberry a couple of notches! It's not bad at all, but could use more potency. I liked this tea mostly, but for that weakness and for a very faint, oddly woody or varnish-like backdrop to the flavor that didn't repulse me, and might even have been forgotten but for...

Now here's where one of my idiosyncrasies becomes pertinent: this compulsion with tea bags where, right after brewing and squeezing, I sniff the moist bag. For soothing herbal offerings such as most mint or chocolate teas, or very aromatic blends that I like a lot, such as Candy Cane Lane or Tension Tamer, this is a good thing. One basically breathes what one also drinks, essentially double-dosing through two intake orifices. It's a form of cheap-n-easy "vaping", if you will. I can do this off and on for 15 minutes or more until the bag dries, while also slowly drinking the tea. Double the pleasure, brothers and sisters!

That concept fails when the moist bag stinks. This tea's wet bag smells like wood wax. I mean the canned chemical concoction one buys at the local home-improvement outlet to restore furniture. It's a good thing that element of the taste itself is barely noticeable. This tea will be enjoyed better by keeping the used bag away from your nostrils.

I dislike the hibiscus teas. They are described as "tart" but there is good tart and bad tart. This just tastes like sour dregs to me.

I am not a fan of the Zingers in general - but raspberry is better than red or Lemon. They all smell great - but they just don;t taste all that wonderful to me.

Very sour/tart raspberry flavor with an herbal/green note.

This tea is the best I have ever tasted. I just can't get enough of it. I always buy as many boxes as are on the shelf at the market. It makes a great iced tea as well as a hot tea to drink year round.

This is my favorite of Celestial Seasonings's offerings so far. Sweet, tangy, and straightforwardly fruity are how I'd describe this one. It has a bit of the "Jolly Rancher" candy flavor to it, but isn't excessive with the sweetness. I think the tartness evens out the sweetness much better for this tisane than it did for the Wildberry Zinger.

Not complex at all, but for when you're craving a solidly tart herbal tea, this one works very nicely. Unfortunately, like other teas by Celestial Seasonings, this one is good for no more than a single cup.

My HG tea. This and the Wildberry Zinger are my go-to herbal teas. I am so addicted to the slightly sweet, largely tangy flavor of the Raspberry Zinger. And get this, it really does taste like raspberries. It also has a smooth aftertaste that is slightly floral. Will buy again and again until the end of time.

A very good tea... wish the flavor was a bit stronger but it's quite good overall! Decent citrusy taste :) x2

Well, I was surprised, and pleasantly so. I am a fan of fruity teas, but the fluffy packaging had long dissuaded me from exploring this brand. I was convinced this had to be some wishy-washy hippie drudgery.

Nonetheless, I tried this one because it was so highly recommended - and it was excellent. There is zero tea taste, but it's not really supposed to have any. Instead the aroma is sweet raspberry, and the flavor is strong. It needed almost no sugar, as it was sweet and enjoyable more or less on its own. I will be making this a regular part of my evening tea rotation.
